***Bhangra Rules***

RULE 1
First of all males & females must not dance together when on the dance floor (unless brother-sister or husband-wife)They must stay in their own dance area which is allocated to them when they arrive at the wedding or party. If they go offside they will be given a dirty look & classed as a slag or a stud by the opposite party.

RULE 2
If you are a female & at a wedding then you must walk around in a circle following the female in front of you in an orderly fashion. As you are walking around you must wave your arms about & maybe twist a bit at the hips for added effect if you are feeling daring. You can glance & smile at the boyz, but make sure you are not being watched.

RULE 3
If you are a female over 40 at a wedding and think that you are just too good, then you are allowed to do the "applaud" dance. This' is where you can break out the circle & dance in the middle with another female who think's she is good too. Both of you must lean slightly shoulders & then you clap your hands violently as you move in a circle. For added effect & if you are feeling really daring you can do a little screaming "hoy hoy" sound as you dance.

RULE 4
Males:- The males have more freedom!! You do not have to dance in a circle, or in an orderly fashion like the females. You must move your body as much as possible & must dance on every square inch of the dance floor. As you dance you must move your arms & legs very violently & just punch & kick anyone who gets in your way. If at a wedding, and go for a long walk around the corner where you will find many other male Bhangra Dancers. Please note that your tie must be wrapped around your head and not around your neck if you wish to carry on dancing. You must also dance until the back of your shirt is damp as well as under your arms.
